"Evicted - Poverty and Profit in the American City"

I could not put this book down. It is a captivating account following the ups and downs of families and individuals navigating the impossible reality of losing their home. The author also provides a broad view of the industry built around it, from the landlords to the storage facilities, and seemingly unbreakable cycles of poverty. Evicted allows you to see yourself in the shoes of those we often disregard, and proposes solutions for how to change our systems.
