Thought this NYT opinion piece was an interesting commentary on how we can organize our communities and systems to work better together... while meeting the needs of each different city.
Too often when I hear about what's happening in Seattle it appears that our non-profits are competing for funds and not working together on a coordinated city wide plan. We have a 25% increase in shelter spending that was recently approved, but short term fixes only go so far when we simply don't have enough affordable housing.
